VILLAS

Over Water Villa with Private Pool

The 103 thatched bungalows and villas designed by renowned architect Murad Ismail, have a stylish Maldivian theme carried through the beautiful design and furnishings. These extremely spacious villas offer a fusion of Maldivian design with modern luxury, all featuring Maldivian rock walls, teak carved beds, polished concrete bathrooms and luxurious bedding.

The Beach Bungalow and Beach Villas have huge private grounds with their own private plunge pools and own beach access. Secluded behind beautiful turquoise front gates, a traditional bell is rung upon entry to the villa. The outdoor areas of the villas are expansive with outdoor tables and couches to provide an alfresco dining option amongst the lush private gardens. For Families, the Four Seasons have very cleverly designed the Family Beach Villas that have a study and the Family Beach Bungalows which are a huge two-bedroom villa. Some two-bedroom villas in the Maldives do not truly inter-connect and are therefore not suitable for younger children.

The Three-Bedroom Land and Ocean Suite is amazing, so if you’re unsure which you prefer, we recommend booking this Suite as it offers the best of both worlds

The Water Villas beautifully sprawl out from Blu Beach. With four categories of over-water villas, sunrise, sunset, sunrise with pool and sunset with pool, each villa has an expansive sundeck with a daybed to enjoy the Indian Ocean views. These Villas are uniquely 'L' shaped with the bedroom on one side and the bathroom on the other. . On the deck they have a suspended net hammock and double seater swing, perfect for relaxing over water and enjoying the sea breezes.

DINING

With many first class dining options, the Four Seasons provides guests with an incredible culinary experience. Dining here is also about the setting of their restaurants as they take you to a different 'destination' each evening. Blu is arguably the best restaurant in the Maldives. It’s the Sicilian Chef, the stunning vista watching the sun set and the beautiful interior décor that makes it so special.

Al Barakat set over water, where you can also view the sunset at the downstairs Middle Eastern Style Shisha Bar. Fuego Grill is very relaxed and set for dinner right on the beach next to the seawater pool’s edge. The three thatched-roofed pavilions of Café Landaa overlook the swimming pool and beach and is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Dinner at Blu and Al Barakat are experiences not to be missed. At Blu, there’s one table set privately on its own and makes for a perfect evening. At Al Barakat, the place to dine is the outdoor couches on the rooftop terrace. Dining high over water is an amazing experience.

Let us create the ultimate dining experience for you -  a beach picnic, a private candlelit sandbank dinner, breakfast on a Dhoni or private party for two or many. Or simply enjoy the fine dining offered by the extensive in-villa menu in the comfort and privacy of your own bungalow, villa or suite, available 24 hours a day.

ACTIVITIES

Snorkeling with Manta Rays in the Baa Atoll

There's so much to do, or not do, whatever you prefer. Bicycles are offered to ride around the island and as there are only guests and staff on the island, children are free to ride and explore. The island has four amazing pools, the infinity pool near the main restaurant (this is the only Olympic-sized pool in the Maldives); a 20m seawater pool, the pool at Blu Beach and the shallow free-form children’s pool at the Kids Club. For Families, there’s no better spot than Blu Beach to enjoy a sunset. The Kids Club set up hermit crab races to entertain the children and provide some complimentary snacks.

The Kids Club - Kuda Velaa (“little turtle”) for children aged four to 12 years is first class. They’re kept busy with an active program of educational and fun activities. For those a little older, there’s the Young Adults Centre “Majaa Maizan” (ages 13 – 18). The beach and water sports activities here are endless or they can just hang out and enjoy a game of pool, table tennis/football, watch a movie, use the PlayStation or WI-FI.

If you’re visiting during Manta Season you must do the ‘Manta on Call’ excursion, it’s a once in a lifetime experience - amazing!

The house reef here is a man-made reef made entirely by the Four Seasons and their incredible Marine Biologists. Being only a few metres from the beach, the reef is in the perfect location for an easy snorkel. The Marine Discovery Centre is somewhere marine enthusiasts can spend hours each day. The Centre has a touch tank for children to see special marine creatures such as sea cucumbers and star fish. During Manta season in the Baa Atoll, the Four Seasons run a unique activity called 'Manta on Call'. Once you register, you’re given a phone and called if Mantas are spotted for your excursion to begin. The Four Seasons place a huge emphasis on their responsibility to care for the coral reefs and offer guests a chance to build their own Coal Frame. This is a fantastic activity for the entire family.

Building a Coral Frame at the Marine Discovery Centre is fantastic, you can sponsor your very own frame and watch it grow year after year.
